CHRIS JAMES 14th February

It was Valentineís day at Highcliffe and so pleased to see such a good number of our regular dancers and loyal supports here with us for what turned out to be a most enjoyable night with our guest act, Chris James.

Chris travelled from Wales and it took all of 4.5 hours to get here but he was all set up on stage and ready to go well in time.

With High class lady and Billy be bad to fill the floor from the start, Chris included many older popular songs and others what we define as sensible newer ones. If love was a river, an Alan Jackson number, was well received as well as Chris using his guitar skills to cover instrumentals as Ghost riders in the sky and Apache.

Chris covered three sets and other songs he selected to sing were, Love her for a while, Just to see you smile, Things I carry around, and Memories are made of this.

Chris was cheered into two encores to finish the evening and our dancers were able to sit down after Seven night to rock preceded by Loving you makes me a better man.

Great night, thank you everyone for making the atmosphere what it is, welcome to Rob and Jill for joining us for first time and to Chris who we will welcome back as soon as we can.

STEVE JAY 10th January

Very good to be back after a 2 month break from the club. Once again opening the new year with another visit from Steve Jay.

We know from experience that Steve has a very full and well up to date play list and he covered a good variety of songs over his 3 sets. During the evening he sung Mr Lonely, Where ever love takes us, where corn donít grow and First fool in line.

The evening was a very enjoyable one, we had a good attendance from all our loyal Western Line dancers and listeners.

Many thanks for all the help we had in setting up and of course the support we have at the club
